During the week of May 12th – 19th officers responded to 86 calls for service.

On May 18th, 2025 police responded to a report of a break and enter in progress in the town of Durham. Officers arrived on scene and spoke to the elderly female home owner who advised her adult son had forced entry into the residence and began destroying the property. The suspect male had fled the scene when police were called, but was located a short distance from the residence. The male was arrested and charged with Unlawfully in a Dwelling and Breach of Probation. He was released on an Undertaking and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Walkerton at a later date.

On May 19th, 2025 police responded to a report of a domestic assault in the village of Ayton. Police spoke with the female victim who advised that her husband had assaulted her and held a knife to her face. The male suspect had fled the scene prior to police arrival. Police located the suspect male a short time later and arrested and charged for Assault – Spousal and Assault with a weapon. The male was released on an Undertaking and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Walkerton at a later date.
